State of Affairs Catering was founded by Chef John Moeller, whose remarkable career spans decades at the highest levels of American cuisine — including nearly Forteen years as a chef at the White House, where he served Presidents George HW Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W Bush
Today, Chef Moeller brings that same dedication to excellence, precision, and hospitality to private events throughout Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.

Chef Moeller's culinary journey began with classical training and a passion for American regional cuisine. His talent and discipline earned him a place in the White House kitchen in 1994, where he would spend the next fifteen years mastering the art of cooking for heads of state, dignitaries, and the First Families themselves.
As Executive Chef of the White House, Chef Moeller oversaw every aspect of the kitchen — from intimate family dinners to grand state banquets attended by world leaders. His menus reflected the best of American ingredients and culinary tradition, always executed with flawless precision.
After leaving the White House, Chef Moeller returned to Lancaster, Pennsylvania — his home — to share his gifts with the community he loves. State of Affairs Catering is the culmination of a lifetime of culinary excellence, now available for your most important occasions.
